Community Outreach

Community Outreach

The Chester Pitts Charitable Foundation strives to create experiences that transform our youth and communities in which they live by broadening perspectives, attitudes and knowledge of themselves.

The Young Artists Poster Contest

In an effort to promote cultural awareness through art, our foundation will sponsor the Young Artists Poster Contest. Throughout the academic school year, students from the various school districts will participate in the program. CPCF will target low income schools in need of supplies for their art programs. The young artists are required to create posters based on various themes provided by CPCF.

A Behind the Scenes Look At Art

The foundation will give underprivileged youth the opportunity to gain exposure to Houston’s popular attractions, such as the Houston Symphony, Houston Ballet, Museums and other events that promote culture.

Single Father’s Holiday Shopping Spree

CPCF will host a shopping spree during the Christmas holidays for single fathers with children in need. The foundation will partner with other NFL players to serve as ‘Santa’s Helpers’ and to assist the father’s as they shop for their holiday purchases.

Summer Art and Music Camp Scholarships

The foundation provides financial support for disadvantaged youth to attend summer art and music camps through our scholarship program. This year, the foundation has selected three students from the Yes Prep Public Schools – West campus. During the summer the students will attend the University Of Texas Butler School Of Music Summer Camp for String Orchestra. The mission of YES Prep Public Schools is to increase the number of low-income Houstonians who graduate from a four-year college prepared to compete in the global marketplace and committed to improving disadvantaged communities.
